Radiohead’s Thom Yorke has remixed a piece of classical music for a new album by John Mathias and Nick Ryans.
The recored entitled ‘Cortical Songs’ is described as “classical music in an unexpected and refreshing way” and will be released via the Nonclassical label.
Alongside Yorke remixes have also been done by Simon Jones and Nick McCabe of The Verve, Simon Tong, Gabriel Prokofiev and John Maclean of The Beta Band and The Aliens.
According to Ateaseweb the album will be released in May after some delays with the remixes.
Jonny Greenwood was also set to contribute but had to pull out due to a lack of time to complete his remix.
John Mathias previously worked with Radiohead on ‘The Bends’ where he played viola and violin.
