Free Dr Pepper For 'Chinese Democracy'

Fans waiting for the release of Guns n’ Roses ‘Chinese Democracy’ have a new friend in the form of Dr Pepper.

The drinks company have announced that they will give a free can of their beverage to every person in America if the long awaited record gets released in 2008.

Speaking about the offer Dr Pepper head of marketing Jaxie Alt said: "It took a little patience to perfect Dr Pepper's special mix of 23 ingredients, which our fans have come to know and love.

"So we completely understand and empathize with Axl's quest for perfection - for something more than the average album.

We know once it's released, people will refer to it as 'Dr Pepper for the ears' because it will be such a refreshing blend of rich, bold sounds - an instant classic."

If anything was ever going to spur Axl on to getting the record out then it was surely going to be this!
