Fleetwood Mac To Tour In Early 2009

Fleetwood Mac have revealed their plans to tour in early 2009, possibly with Sheryl Crow augmenting the legendary outfit.

In an interview last week, Crow, who is close friends with band member Stevie Nicks, revealed her intentions to tour with them next year.

However, singer Lindsay Buckingham says they are planning to tour, but Crow’s involvement is not yet set in concrete.

She tells Billboard:  "I think we were all a little surprised she (Crow) was announcing that to the world with such certainty.

"We have talked about the possibility of bringing another woman into the scene to kind of give Stevie a sort of foil and shake it up a little bit. She (Crow) was certainly a name that has come up. We'll have to see."

Buckingham said the band were looking to tour in the first half of 2009 and they may have some new material to showcase.
