EMI have confirmed that they’re in talks with Nokia to join the mobile provider’s new ‘Comes with Music’ service.
The world’s largest record label Universal has already signed up to the service, which will launch in the second half of 2008.
"We want to be part of it. I believe strongly that when it launches we will be there, with a full offering," an EMI head said yesterday (March 19th).
Users will have access to million’s of songs through the scheme, reports Reuters.
As Gigwise reported yesterday, Apple are understood to be considering launching a rival service via their iPods and iPhones.
Their ‘all you can eat’ proposal will give users free access to their iTunes music store in return for adding a premium to their hardware.
