Adele is ready to bring her coffee-table music to the masses in America after a joint record deal was struck up between her UK label XL Recordings and Columbia.
The 19-year-old ‘Chasing Pavements’ singer will release her debut album ‘19’ stateside in the summer. The record went straight to number one upon its UK release earlier in the year.
Speaking to Billboard, XL Recordings supremo Richard Russell said: "She wants to work it properly, and put in time there. People are really excited about her over there."
Adele is currently in the midst of an American tour. The singer will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of her fellow Brit School graduate Amy Winehouse who of course is massive stateside.
