More Eels A critically acclaimed BBC documentary featuring Mark Oliver Everett, the Eels frontman better known as E, has been nominated for a British Academy of Film and Television Arts Award.
The news comes in the wake of the film’s recent success in garnering another nomination at the Royal Television Society Awards.
The film, ‘Parallel Worlds, Parallel Lives’, showed E trying to uncover the mysteries of his estranged father’s life in a journey that takes him from cemetery to science lab.
E’s father, Hugh Everett, was a quantum mechanics genius who formulated the theory of parallel universes and died before he could ever be credited with its discovery.
The nomination coincides with the start of the second leg of Eels UK tour, which continues in Belfast tonight.
