Neil Young has been announced as the headliner for the inaugural A Day At The Hop Farm Festival in Kent.
The new festival has been described by organisers as “back to basics” because fans don’t have to register and there will be no VIP area.
A Day At The Hop Farm, which takes place in July, is the brainchild of former Mean Fiddler man Vince Power.
Power said that it would be a goal of the event to make festival-goers the most important people at the festival.
"I am happy to be returning to create a new, independent festival in a far more competitive marketplace, which counteracts the current brand-saturated music scene," Power said in a statement.
Further acts are due to be announced over the coming weeks, reports the BBC.
