The mighty Utah Saints have been in self-imposed exile following unreleased LPs and contract oblivion, but thanks to Australia’s answer to Soulwax, Van She’s re-working of their 1992 classic, the words Utah Saint’s have been tastier than a fish supper for some time now. This is everything you would expect only better. Kate Bush’s all-conquering vocal is still the focal point but as each remixer – there’s a bit of a list here – stirs the porridge, it is quite some feat that everyone hits the spot. Check out High Contrast’s offering for it’s d’n’b-induced revelry or Bart B’s quite astounding darker-than-dark take on one of the most uplifting tracks of our time. Put it on in your living room and dance round the telly in yer slippers, it doesn’t matter that it’s only Monday.
Released 17/03/08 on Data Records.
