Mobile phone users will soon have access to nearly 5 million songs thanks to a deal between O2 and the digital download service, Napster.
O2 users will be charged 99p for one song, or will have the option of downloading five songs for £4.
The new service will be Britain's largest full-track mobile music download service, reports Reuters.
The music industry is continuing to look for new ways of offering music following the sharp decline in interest in traditional music formats.
By allowing users to download music straight to a phone with an in-built MP3 playing device, people will no longer have to use a computer to their transfer music.
