Duffy’s chart domination has continued this week, as her single ‘Mercy’ and album ‘Rockferry’ both remained at number one.
‘Mercy’ clocked up its fourth week at the top ahead of Leona Lewis’ Sports Relief single ‘Better In Time / Footprints In The Sand’, while ‘Rockferry’ is up there for a second week.
Aside the endless dross that seems to be perennially clogging up the charts, there were only a few notable new entries.
Panic At The Disco’s ‘Nine In The Afternoon’ debuted at 13, Elbow’s ‘Grounds For Divorce’ debuted at 19 and Foals’ ‘Cassius’ spent its first week at number 26.
The album chart saw OneRepublic ‘Dreaming Out Loud’ debut at two, while MGMT notched up the impressive debut chart position of number 12.
Young Knives’ ‘Superabundance’ was at 28, ‘Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly’ was searching for the hows and whys at 30 and Hercules & Love Affair came in at 31 with their eponymous effort.
