The first bands have been announced for the inaugural Liverpool Sound City which takes place this summer.
As previously reported on Gigwise the new four day festival in based on a similar premise to that of SXSW and In The City.
It will take over 30 venues over the weekend of May 27-30 with showcases being held by a numver of independent labels.
The acts announced today include Reverend And The Makers, The Wombats, Does It Offend You, Yeah?, Hercules and Lover Affair and The Rascals.
Alongside the night time gigs there will also be a host of daytime panels with talks about prescient issues currently affecting the music industry.
