Dolly Parton has been forced to pull out of SXSW because of the continuing back pain which saw her cancel US tour in February.
The legendary country singer was due to perform on Friday (March 14) but organisers of the Austin, Texas event have confirmed she will no longer appear.
Parton cancelled her US tour last month, it was due to start in Minneapolis on February 28.
At the time she released a statement saying: "I know I have been breaking my neck and bending over backwards trying to get my new Backwoods Barbie CD and world tour together, but I didn't mean to hurt myself doing it!”
“Hey, you try wagging these puppies (her breasts) around a while and see if you don't have back problems.
Seriously though, the doctors said I will be good as new in a few weeks, and I can't wait to get back out there."
The dates are expected to be rescheduled for April and May.
