Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s mother and manager are suing production company AGU Entertainment.
ODB’s mother, Cherry Jones is alleging that the Florida based company AGU exploited her dead son, reports FemaleFirst.
Cheery Jones and ODB’s manager, Jared Weisfeld have filed a $1.8 million lawsuit against AGU, claiming that they failed to fulfil deals for a album and DVD, whilst continuing to use ODB’s name to attract investors.
ODB aka Russell Jones was a founding member of The Wu-Tang Clan, he died in November 2004 after collapsing in a Manhattan recording studio, autopsy reports showed that he had accidentally overdosed on cocaine and prescription pain killers. He had a history of drug addiction.
Weisfeld's attorney Mark Frey has said: "We're just saddened and shocked that AGU would do this, given what everyone had been through with Dirty's death."
