Kelley Deal To Release Book About Knitting

How do you pass the time spent on the tour bus is a quandary many a band member might have but not Kelley Deal of The Breeders apparently.

Deal is apparently an obsessive knitter and now she is turning her touring hobby into a book for all her fans that are also avid knitters.

Entitled ‘Bags That Rock: Knitting On The Road With Kelley Deal’ the book will be released in October according to Pitchfork.

The blurb for the book reads thus: "Tag along with Kelley Deal as she gives you a privileged backstage pass to her cool rock'n'roll world and her knitted bag obsession.

“Knitters of all skill levels will get to explore Kelley's stylish choices of fibers and gear and get the lowdown on bag-specific features.

"Get all the basics on felting, embroidery embellishments, and 20 fabulous projects, each with its own 'remix' variation."

Before then Deal has the task of releasing a new album with her band, ‘Mountain Battles’ is out on April 7.
