Yesterday Lil’ Kim’s manager Damion Butler pleaded guilty to participating in a shoot out in February 2001.The shoot out occurred outside the offices on Hot 97 in New York due to an ongoing rivalry between members of Lil’ Kim’s entourage and associates of Capone-N-Noreaga, reports AllHipHop.
Prosecutors have claimed that Butler and bodyguard Suif Jackson shot at Capone-N-Noreaga’s entourage after an argument over a song ‘Bang, Bang’ in which Foxy Brown aims her lyrics at Lil’ Kim.
During the shoot out one man was injured with a gunshot wound to the back.
Butler has now admitted firing a handgun at the scene “with the intent of hurting someone.” He has also pleaded guilty to conspiring to obtain and travelling under a false passport.
His client Lil' Kim is charged with conspiracy, obstruction of justice, perjury and lying to the federal grand jury. She has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Three times Lil’ Kim has testified that Butler was not present at the Radio station that day.
Also charged were Suif Jackson and a friend, Monique Dopwell, who all pleaded innocent.
Lil' Kim, Suif Jackson and Monique Dopwell will stand trial on February 28.
