50 Cent Speaks Out About His Forthcoming New Album

G Unit rapper, 50 Cent is gearing up for his second album release.

‘The Massacre’ will be released on March 7 and is the follow up to his debut ‘Get Rich Or Die Tryin’.

The new album was supposed to be called ‘The St Valentines Massacre’ but after the album release was pushed back to March the album was renamed.

50 Cent said this to HipHopGalaxy: “I was trying to force Interscope Records to release my record on February 15, but Interscope Records is reactive. I’m proactive so I threw ‘Disco Inferno’ out and kinda got them to respond to me. But (The Massacre) probably wouldn’t even be coming out March 8 if I didn’t do that at that point, because this project is a big project for them, they want to have everything mapped out and its more mechanical this time.”

The first single from the album ‘Candy Shop’ is scheduled for release on March 21.

Speaking recently about the song, NME reports that the rapper said: "I think the song itself is great. I attempted to be as sexual as possible, from a male perspective, without being vulgar or obscene. I think that I did a great job on it.”
