Amy Winehouse is the artist backpackers most want to listen to whilst travelling around the world, according to a new survey.
Winehouse topped the TNT poll ahead of Jack Johnson and U2, who were voted in second and third places respectively.
The survey, which polled 300 people, also found that the iPod was now the most important accessory for travellers.
The MP3 player received 32% of the vote in the poll and is deemed more important than a mobile phone, toothbrush and first-aid kit.
Hazel Williams, event director of the TNT Travel Show, said that MP3 players were “becoming increasingly important for travellers, because although might have flown around the world – it’s still nice to listen to the comforting sounds of your from back home.”
When asked what album they would most like to have if stranded on a dessert island, Mark Ronson’s ‘Version’ and Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ came joint first with travellers.
