Former Radio 1 DJ Andy Kershaw has been advised to go and live with his mother following his latest arrest for breaching a restraining order.
Kershaw was arrested on Monday just three days after he was released from spending 44 days in prison for the same offence.
At a hearing at the High Bailiff's Court on the Isle of Man yesterday (March 4th), Kershaw was given a suspended sentence and told to return to his hometown of Rochdale.
The court heard how Kershaw had sent abusive text messages to his former partner, Juliette Banner and her boyfriend on Sunday.
In one message Kershaw proclaimed that he was “the hardest man on the island,” reports the BBC.
High Bailiff Michael Moyle told Kershaw yesterday: "On the clear understanding you will leave the Isle of Man forthwith, I'm prepared to give you one final chance.
"I'm not banning you from the island, I merely suggest you take a considerable break in the company of your family."
Speaking outside the court, Kershaw, whose radio show on Radio 3 has been suspended, said he was “not going to squander this opportunity."
