After unveiling our favourite guitarists of all time last month, now it’s time for us to reveal the 69 greatest frontmen and women.

Importantly, the gallery isn’t a list purely made up of 'legends', it’s not based on record sales, musical clout or how long each artist has been kicking about in the music industry – instead, it’s our 69 favourite charismatic showmen and women based on sheer stage presence and aura; be it solo acts or people who front bands.

From the old guard (Freddie Mercury) to the newer upstarts (Tahita Bulmer), to the energetic (Howlin Pelle Almqvist) to the intense (Ian Curtis), they’re all here.
