Former Radio 1 DJ Andy Kershaw has been jailed again – just three days after serving a lengthy prison term.
The DJ was arrested near his home on the Isle of Man yesterday (March 3rd) on suspicion of breaking a restraining order against his former girlfriend, Juliette Banner.
Kershaw was jailed for three months in January after admitting to breaching an order which prevented him from approaching Ms Banner, the mother of his two children.
A court was told at the hearing how he had sent “abusive” text messages to his children which were aimed at Ms Banner and her partner.
The DJ was released from prison on Friday after serving 44 days behind bars.
In an interview with the Mirror published yesterday, Kershaw accused Ms Banner of ruining their relationship following the couples’ move to the Isle of Man.
The DJ is expected to appear in at the High Bailiff's Court in Douglas later today (March 4th).
Kershaw’s regular show on BBC Radio 3 remains suspended.
