The Dead 60s have decided to call it a day after five years together.
Perhaps indicative of their diminishing popularity, the Liverpool outfit made the announcement on their official website on February 11, but only now has it been picked up by news sources.
The band explained in the posting that there had been no major fallout; instead they merely decided to go their separate ways.
The full post reads:
Hi all,
Well, some of you may have heard the news by now.....The Dead 60s are no more. We decided to call it a day just after Christmas. There's no big story, no falling out between us. We just felt like the band had run its course, time for us all to branch out & try other things.
A big thanks to everyone who has been partial to the success that we had and to all the amazing gigs/tours/nights out that we experienced along the way.
And so, on to new things and new music. We will keep you posted of our new projects & hope to see you all soon.
Feri bhetaula,
Matt, Charlie, Ben & Bryan.
The band achieved moderate success with their eponymous album in 2005, but their career hit the buffers before their second album ‘Time To Take Sides’ even hit the shelves.
