Manager Ryan Gentles has stated that the New Yorkers have been in their studio working away on the third album that we’ve all been waiting for.
As yet the rock quintet have recorded five new songs, and have jettisoned long-time collaborator Gordon Raphael, according to XFM, turning instead to producer David Kahne, famous for his work with Tony Bennett, Stevie Nicks, K.D. Lang, The Bangles and Paul McCartney, so the results promise to be intriguing.
“No word on when they'll be finished,” states Gentles, “It will take as long as it takes, but we're confident that it will come out sometime this year. The band sends their love and appreciation from the studio.”
Fans will also be pleased to hear that the band are determined to cast their web even wider with forthcoming tours.
“There will be a LOT more touring on this next album than on ‘Room On Fire’,” the statement continues, “So we'll be seeing you all later this year... And we'll be sure to get to a lot of countries/cities/places that we haven't been to before or that we haven't been to since ‘Is This It’ touring....”
And that’s a promise, apparently…so if you’re in Bognor, well, brace yourselves...
