Nine Inch Nails have released a brand new 36-track instrumental album, entitled ‘Ghosts I-IV’.
The unexpected release was recorded during a ten week period last Autumn alongside Atticus Ross and Alan Moulder.
Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor said in a statement that he had been “considering and wanting to make this kind of record for years".
“This collection of music is the result of working from a very visual perspective - dressing imagined locations and scenarios with sound and texture; a soundtrack for daydreams.
“I'm very pleased with the result and the ability to present it directly to you without interference. I hope you enjoy the first four volumes of Ghosts,” he added.
‘Ghosts I-IV’ is available in five different formats – from a nine song sampler to a $300 ‘ultra-deluxe’ limited edition package which features an exclusive four-LP 180 gram vinyl set in a fabric slipcase.
