Robert Plant has reportedly snubbed a £100million offer to take Led Zeppelin on a world tour.
Of course, the demand for a full Led Zep reunion is phenomenally high after their appetiser at the 02 Arena last December, but apparently Plant is firmly against the idea of a full reformation - whatever the offer.
The Sunday Mirror claims that the other two surviving Led Zeppelin members Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones were keen to take the £100million offered to each of them to tour North America and Europe, but Plant’s touring commitments with Alison Krauss have firmly stood in their way.
A band ‘source’ told the paper: "Despite the enormous offer, the decision did not come down to money. They always said they would do the one-off show and then see how they felt.
"Jimmy had enjoyed the concert in December enough to want to tour. He argued they still had something to offer. He likes the idea of another chapter in the band - the grown-up tour.
"John sided with Jimmy. He loved making music with the others again. But Robert wanted to leave last year's concert as their legacy. They had proved they could still do it and that was enough.
"He has other commitments and is happier looking forward to those. Robert put the mockers on the tour."

for 100 million, i could do a cracking impersonation.
- ..you won’t see a tour but possibly a few 02 type shows mabe in NY late 2008. He doesn’t need the money. And a full tour is old hat from Plant’s point of view.

new york isnt exactly on my doorstep. just once, id like to see one of my favourite bands before i / they die. it aint gonna happen though is it.
- Plant is being completely selfish. He obviously does not care about all the fans that keep buying Zep records year after year. I normally would never say anything negative about the band but come on Plant, you are being totally ridiculous!

- Very selfish act and a snub to all rock music fans.
