Carl Barat has revealed he is planning a new musical with his ex-Libertines bandmate Pete Doherty.
Barat, who has just completed a new album with Dirty Pretty Things, says he is keen to do the project with Doherty, but they are still waiting to find the right time.
He tells The Mirror, “We’re supposed to be writing some musical, which I really wanna do, but it’s a matter of timing it and sorting it really.
“It will be in the vein of the Threepenny Opera but I guess a bit more local to what we understand in the world today.”
Barat has kept in contact with the Babyshambles star despite their acrimonious ending of The Libertines and Doherty's subsequent high profile problems.
