‘Push Your Head Towards The Air’ is the fourth single to be released from Editors’ critically acclaimed number one album ‘An End Has A Start’. It seems that opinion is divided about the Brummy rockers but their latest release is undeniably one of the few quiet moments of the album. Taking the form of a reflective ballad, its simply structured and allows you step back and take in the understated immensity and magnificence that the band expertly manage to control. In parts straining at the leash, rather than explode, it organically ferments in one of the group’s most reassuring moments to date. Love them or hate them, as singles go, it’s a beauty.
Released 03/03/08 on Columbia.
