The Beastie Boys have entered the studio to start work on the follow up to 2007’s ‘The Mix Up’.
The hip hop trio are currently holed up in their Oscilloscope Studios in lower Manhattan but they’re not giving much away about the new material.
Adam Yauch aka MCA told Rolling Stone: “It’s in the early stages of development, but it sounds cool to me.
“We make music and eat lunch. Sometimes we fantasize about how cool it would be if we had a chef that cooked lunch every day.”
Following that massive insight Yauch went on to talk about his own project, a small film distribution company called Oscilloscope Pictures which is already considering the release of several movies.
Yauch explained about his reasoning behind the company: “There are cool, interesting films that fall between genres that the larger companies might not be not looking to distribute.”
