The Pigeon Detective have announced details of their second album which is due out this May via Dance To The Radio.
Entitled ‘Emergency’ the record will hit shops on May 26, just two days shy of the one year anniversary of the release of the band’s debut album ‘Wait For Me’.
The album will be preceded by the single ‘This Is An Emergency’ on May 12 which was first aired during the band’s live shows at the end of 2007.
‘Emergency’ was recorded in the Monnow Valley in Wales with the help of producer Stephen Street and is currently being mixed by Cenzo Townshend.
Speaking about the album Matt Bowman said: “Emergency could describe the last 12 months. It’s been fairly frantic, everything’s been going at breakneck speed between gigs and touring and festivals. I think we’ve definitely written a record rather than a number of songs to play live.”
