Dana, who won the Eurovision song contest in 1970, has called for this year’s Irish entry, Dustin The Turkey, to pull out of the competition.
She said that Ireland’s entry, which was chosen last weekend, would make a “mockery” of the thoroughly serious competition.
"Certainly don't put a turkey in a trolley up against singers who are desperately trying to make a way in their career,” Dana told the BBC.
Dustin The Turkey shot to fame in 1990 as the star of Irish television’s, The Den.
The puppets’ song, which is imaginatively entitled, ‘Irelande Douze Pointe’, is sure to be among one of the better songs at this years contest.
Meanwhile, Britain will decide which act to send to this years competition in a public vote this weekend.
As with British entrants in past years, you can expect that they will be human and also pretty bad.

A country which is a part of eurovisions history with great winners cant end sending a turkeydoll.Ofcourse people are tired of the blockvoting BUT a placing doesnt show how decent a entry is(last year the placing wasnt good BUT it was decent and it was Ireland).
