Former Joy Division bassist Peter Hook played the band’s most well known hit, ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’, at a charity concert held over the weekend.
Hook, who went on to play in New Order following the death of Joy Division frontman Ian Curtis, was joined by Badly Drawn Boy and The Smiths’ Andy Rourke for the performance.
The trio also played ‘Instant Karma’ by John Lennon and The Smiths’ ‘Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want’ during the charity concert at Manchester’s MEN Arena.
The annual event, Manchester Versus Cancer, also featured performances from The View, The Enemy and The Fratellis.
Hometown band The Happy Mondays also performed their various hits for the sold out crowd.
