Kate Nash has voiced her support for the Love Music Hate Racism after supporting the campaign at the Brit Awards.
The singer-songwriter donned an Anti-Nazi League badge when accepting her Best British Solo gong, and says she is keen to highlight the continued threat of bigotry.
She tells BBC 6 music, “I think that people think that now we're in the 21st Century that you kind of ignore it and think everything is fine; but there's still a lot of race hate and race crime and homophobic people and I think that's awful.
"I don't judge anybody by anything apart from personality and who they are, and I think it's really awful that percentages and memberships have risen and I find that really frightening.
"So I just wanted to make a statement to say that I'm anti-Nazi League and anti-Fascist."
Nash added she is in talks to joins bands including Babyshambles and the Paddingtons at the 30th anniversary Rock Against Racism gig in Victoria Park, east London on the 27 April.
