Athlete and Cage The Elephant are amongst the acts taking part in a search for the world’s best public art and graffiti.
Bizarrely, dour Deptford four-piece Athlete have been taking shots of dogs scrawled on walls in Japan while on tour there.
The Big Art Mob scheme is a rather jolly initiative to map public art in the UK and beyond using mobile phones. Other bands involved include SixNationState, who found graffiti in their hometown of Southampton, Parka, Cage The Elephant and Little Dragon.
As part of the Big Art Project, it isn’t just musicians who can join the fun. Pictures from the general public are more than welcome, so send your snaps to 07786 200 549.
They will appear on the Big Art Map on their website, so you can see who is capturing what in your area, or just admire Athlete’s penchant for dog graffiti.
