Klaxons have revealed that they hope to release their second album by the end of the year.
The band were speaking at last night’s Brit Awards where they performed live with Rihanna on a re-worked version of her hit ‘Umbrella.’
The band revealed to xfm that they’ve laid down some rough cuts of tracks and hope to hit the studio in May to begin the recording process.
They (sadly xfm didn’t specify which one) said: “We've put some rough demos down and had some ideas. We're off to Milan in May to start work with James Ford again on the next record and hope to release it late this year or next.
"Until we've got something new to say and some new songs there's no point doing any UK festivals."
Also in their sights is a collaboration with Rihanna on the new album: "Since we've been doing this Rihanna thing we've been chatting and she wants to do something with us so we might sort something out for the next record. You know, she's gorgeous but she's not a diva, she's been easy to work with. It's just worked and had chemistry."
