More Amy Winehouse Ozzy Osbourne has described the current troubles of Amy Winehouse as “very sad” ahead of his appearance at the BRIT Awards this Wednesday.
Osbourne, who will co-host the ceremony along with his wife, Sharon, said that along with Paul McCartney, Winehouse is the only act he knows at the ceremony.
“It is sad because that road that she is on is very, very sad. It took me a long time to get rid of my demons,” Osbourne told the Sun.
“Everyone takes this thing of rehab as a miracle cure, but it’s hard,” he admitted.
Speaking about McCartney, who will pick up the Lifetime Achievement Award at the ceremony, Osbourne said that it would be a better night for him following his ongoing divorce troubles.
“Our paths used to cross all the time. We had the same sound engineers. The Beatles are why I got into music in the first place,” he said.
“He is a really nice guy. This business has run and run, and he’s never been impolite to me. He’s always nice."
As previously reported, the judge in McCartney's court case with his estranged wife Heather Mills reserved judgement yesterday (February 18th) following a week long hearing.
