Sine Star Project - 'Bleeding Like A Dog'

Sine Star Project - 'Bleeding Like A Dog'
starstarno starno starno star

The two most interesting things about the band are nothing to do with their actual sound. Once you’ve worked out that Sine Star Project’s name is an anagram of the front man’s moniker and discover that the drummer is 17th in line to the Swedish throne it all becomes decidedly dull. ‘Bleeding Like A Dog’ is as effective as snorting baking powder. Peter J Croissant does have a very good voice, it’s a shame it mostly belongs to Matt Bellamy. The pomp and circumstance combined with the lyric, “I feel it in my nose, I feel it in my toes” is enough for a listener to feel vomit in their throats. This isn’t helped by the rhyme scheme of evolution/revolution/destruction. This all detracts from the fact that they can actually play instruments and could be capable of something far less mundane if only they got a set of balls. The cover of Bjork’s ‘Army Of Me’ only adds to the feeling of castrated arty boredom.

Released 18/02/08 on Bleeding Light.
