The Magic Wands are Nashville based singers/guitarists Chris and Dexy Valentine who fittingly release their debut single 'Teenage Love' on download from 14th February with a physical release the following week. A band of the digital age, the Wands count their key friends on Myspace as Michael Jackson, Yoko Ono and E.T. a subliminal tug at the bands non-violent ideology and retro wanings which play out in their music which stays true to the bands key influences of magic, love and dreams.

Served up like a uninspiring Blondie b-side, electronic drum beats pulse into action like heart beats, accompanied by duelling guitars from both Valentines seemingly masked by a vocal from Dexy which, if anyone was to be making Blondie the musical, would suit well.

    Released 18/02/08 on Ark Recordings.

    • Teenage Love sounds nothing like Blondie, it’s great in it’s own right, it’s more like tom tom club

    • i love the magic wands actually. i saw them at the granada, they opened for the horrors and the kills. it was an awesome show. their other single "black magic" sounds more like blondie(though to me "teenage love" sounds like blondie also) grand music...cant wait for their EP to drop!
