Michael Jackson made his return to the UK album charts yesterday as the 25th anniversary edition of 'Thriller' charted at number three.
The album, which features new remixes by Kanye West and will.I.am, was the charts highest new entry.
Jack Johnson and Nickelback held on to the first and second positions in the album charts respectively, while Morrissey’s greatest hits compilation debuted at number five.
Meanwhile, in the singles charts, rising star Duffy finally dislodged Basshunter from the top of the countdown with her single, ‘Mercy’.
The singer's debut single, which is released on general sale on February 28th, topped the charts on downloads alone.
Elsewhere, Nickelback’s ‘Rockstar’ stayed at number two while Adele’s ‘Chasing Pavements’ fell to number five.
