Still need to get your Valentine a gift? We’ve found just the thing: a dress designed by Antony Hegarty.
The Antony & The Johnsons singer, who won the Mercury Music Award in 2005, designed the dress for charity in collaboration with YOOX.com. It is up for auction on EBay, with the current bid standing at $208.50.
The dress is a hand-produced one of a kind, made from white silk and signed by Antony. It is “exalted by an immaculate whiteness,” and “expresses the same qualities found in its creator’s poetic musicality.” Apparently.
All proceeds will be donated to the Sylvia Rivera Law Project (SRLP), the American grassroots organization that fights for the rights of all people to self-determine gender identity.
This is the first in a series of future projects that YOOX.com will develop with other musicians.
