Gigwise has heard through the rumour mill that The White Stripes are set to play an ultra intimate show in London this spring.
The Old Blue Last in Shorditch, which has previously seen performances from the likes of Lily Allen, Arctic Monkeys and more recently Les Savy Fav, is apparently the highly cosy venue the duo will play.
Despite the rumours, Jack and Meg's label XL Recordings have categorically denied that The White Stripes are performing.
Instead they said that “there is an XL band playing the Old Blue Last on 3rd March, but we're not saying who...”
If the unlikely does happen, it would echo Radiohead’s gig at 93 Feet East last month, where around 200 fans got to see Thom Yorke and co. up close and personal.
We’ll bring you more news when we get it…
