Paramore were forced to cancel their show in Newcastle last night after their connecting flight from Los Angeles, where they attended the Grammy Awards, was cancelled.
As well as the scheduled show at the Carling Academy, the band missed an in-store signing session which saw 250 youngsters wait outside HMV in the cold from 6am to get their wristbands.
It’s not all bad news for the Paramore faithful though, the band will now be playing the show tomorrow night (February 14), where all original tickets will remain valid.
A statement from the band released yesterday afternoon reads: "We are really bummed out that we couldn't be at the in-store today and won’t be able to play for all our fans in Newcastle tonight. Our connecting internal UK flight to Newcastle was cancelled, and there was no way of getting there in time from London.
“We apologize to all the fans and especially to those we’ve been told had been lining up since early this morning! We will be in town on Thursday instead and hope you will all be able to make it down still."
The band are also hopefully re-scheduling the signing session.
