Lil Wayne has landed in the brown, murky stuff after being indicted by a jury in Arizona on felony drugs and weapons charges.
The 25-year-old rapper – real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. – has been charged by the Yuma County Grand Court with one count each of possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drugs paraphernalia, possession of a narcotic drug for sale and misconduct involving weapons.
Carter has denied the charges against him and will be back up in court on March 7. He is still free and continuing his touring commitments.
The charges relate to an incident on January 22, when a chartered bus Carter was travelling on with some friends was pulled over for a check on the border of Arizona.
Police say they found 41 grams of ecstasy, an ounce of cocaine, four ounces of marijuana and various drugs paraphernalia. A .40 calibre pistol was also discovered onboard.
