Pete Doherty has confirmed the biggest solo gig of his career.
The Babyshambles singer will take to the stage at the Royal Albert Hall in London on April 26th.
The former Libertine has played a number of solo shows, most recently a three-night residency at The Rhythm Factory. He was due to perform at Reading Fez Club’s closing night in January, but the gig was cancelled.
Doherty has been working on his first official solo album, but there has been no announcement of a release date to accompany the live show.
The news of Doherty’s show at the famous old venue follows another surprising booking, with bluesman Seasick Steve playing the Royal Albert Hall on October 1st.
Tickets for Pete Doherty’s show are on sale from 9am on Saturday (February 15th).
