Basshunter has continued his baffling reign at the top of UK singles chart, although his only challenge this week was from Nickelback.

The German house star has now been in the Number 1 spot for five weeks while Wet Wet Wet gained the highest new entry with their single ‘Weightless’ Hitting Number 10.

The album chart proved just as dreary with surf-pop superstar Jack Johnson’s new album ‘Sleep Through Static’ taking top spot.

Adele’s ‘19’ was pushed down to Number 2 while Nickelback once again featured high in the countdown at Number 3.
