Lance Armstrong, seven-time winner of the Tour De France, has revealed what tracks help him to maintain a peak level of performance.

Tracks by Weezer, The Feeling and two from Keane all feature on the cyclists new ‘Run Longer Coaching Mix’ - which is available in the US now.

The 40-minute workout is designed to suit all levels of fitness, with four high-speed intervals designed to improve strength, speed and ability.

Reports that the listener should run as fast as possible away from the speakers during the two Keane songs have yet to be confirmed.

The tracklisting for ‘Run Longer’ is as follows:

Lance Armstrong – ‘Run Longer’
Weezer – ‘Island In the Sun’
All-American Rejects – ‘Dance Inside’
The Feeling – ‘Love It When You Call’
Wolfmother – ‘Woman’
Queens of the Stone Age – ‘3's & 7's’
Audioslave – ‘Yesterday to Tomorrow’
All-American Rejects – ‘Moving Along’
+44 – ‘155’
Keane – ‘Is It Any Wonder’

  • Ah, jolly good remark there Jason, “run as fast as possible away from the speakers during the two Keane songs” – such profundity, such insight, such a beguiling wit! Yes, Keane, not cool enough to warrant yours or anyone’s admiration or respect; too melodic, too accessible, too mainstream. Where do we go to buy your music Jason?

  • Taste of music is the same as taste of women, colours, politics etc.. There is of course no right and wrongs in this. personally, these tunes are quite good from my point of view. If they will make me a better runner, maybe, I’m not sure but it’s worth a try..
