Metallica, Pearl Jam For Bonnaroo 2008

Metallica, Kanye West and Pearl Jam are amongst the huge names confirmed for Bonnaroo Festival in Manchester, Tennessee this summer.

Also included on the mightily impressive hyper-eclectic bill are Willie Nelson, M.I.A, Sigur Ros, Vampire Weekend, My Morning Jacket, Battles, Iron and Wine, Lupe Fiasco, Gogol Bordello, Death Cab For Cutie, Broken Social Scene… the list goes on.

Despite the rumours, Led Zeppelin themselves won’t be performing live, however, they will be represented in the shape of frontman Robert Plant performing with Alison Krauss and the all-female tribute act Lez Zeppelin.

As well as the music side of the festival, there are all kinds of other activities going on including a comedy stage, silent disco, arcades, restaurants, yoga classes etc.

Bonnaroo takes place from June 12-15. Tickets go on sale from noon on February 16.
