Feist’s The Reminder’ has been announced as the winner of this year’s Shortlist Prize.
The Canadian songstress beat off the likes of M.I.A, Arcade Fire, LCD Soundsystem and Burial to take home the award.
The Shortlist Prize included albums released between January and November 2007 that have yet to be certified Gold (500,000 units shipped) by RIAA.
Since the finalists were drawn up ‘The Reminder’ has reached 515,000 units shipped in the US alone.
Much of the more mainstream attention around the album stemmed from the inclusion of the track ‘1,2,3,4’ on an Apple iPod advertising campaign.
The panel judging this year’s Shortlist Prize was made up of Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody, the Killers' Ronnie Vannucci, journalist Rev. Moose, KCRW DJ Chris Douridas and the hosts of Hunnypot Internet Radio.
