Thom Yorke 'Proud' Of Radiohead Guitarist's Film Score

As it gets new award...

Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has said he’s “proud” of guitarist Jonny Greenwood’s score for the film There Will Be Blood.

Greenwood’s composition for the film, which stars Daniel Day-Lewis, picked up an award at the Evening Standard film awards last night (February 3rd).

Yorke, who accompanied Greenwood to the ceremony, revealed that he had only watched the film for the first time on Saturday.

“The weirdest thing was I recognised loads of the melodies because I have heard him play them on the piano,” he told the BBC.

“I was hoping to nick a couple of them but unfortunately they are on the film!”

Although Greenwood’s score missed out on a nomination for the Oscars, it is up for Best Film Score at the BAFTA’s later this month.
