Touchdown! Field goal! Yeah, we don’t really get it either but the Super Bowl has created a news story of interest to music fans.
You see just after the half-time show, which featured Tom Petty, an advert was aired for NFL on Fox that contained part of ‘No Cars Go’ by Arcade Fire.
Now most fans would be devastated to learn that Win & co have sold out to the dollars of News International but it turns out they haven’t.
According to Pitchfork Fox never gained the permission of the band to use the song and they, as you’d expect, aren’t very happy about it.
Apparently no decision has been made by the band about what to do about the situation but the issue is being talked over by the band.
