London born singer Adele has topped the UK album charts with her debut album ‘19’.
In a quiet week in both the album and singles charts, Adele’s ‘Chasing Pavements’ also maintained its position at number two in the singles charts.
Thanks to chart rules, her song ‘Hometown Glory’ also entered the top-40 at number thirty-six because of download sales.
Elsewhere in the singles charts, Basshunter’s ‘Now You’re Gone’ maintained its position at number one for the forth week, while ‘Ready For The Floor’ by Hot Chip entered at number six.
One Night Only’s ‘Just For Tonight’, which joined the charts last week at number thirty-nine, climbed to number nine.
