Jay-Z Confirmed For Glastonbury
Michael Eavis has confirmed that the mystery “black American” headliner of Glastonbury will be Jay-Z.
Speaking to BBC Somerset Eavis revealed that he had booked the Rap star in an attempt to break with Glastonbury tradition.
He said: "He will appeal to the young people and under-25s for sure, so that's a big pull for them.
"It's not like the traditional one we do, like Radiohead, Coldplay and Muse and Oasis."
Jay-Z joins Neil Diamond on the bill for the festival which takes place over the weekend of June 27-29.
Registration for Glastonbury tickets opened today (February 1) and fans have until March 15 to lodge their interest before tickets go on sale on April 6.

- Jay Z,Neil Diamond.Brooklyn is in de house this year!

aaaaaaaahhhhh,bollocks.
- Fair play for trying something different but hiphop is dead!who wants to go to glasto for jayZ????

due to blackness.. a whole new audience!
- eavis is on dangerous ground- if he really wanted to appeal to under 25’s he should stop raising the ticket price beyond the means of the average under 25 year old. Its age-ist
And not book neal diamond- this has to be the WORST festival line up ive ever seen...
